Less Talk, More Action

People talk all the time. Even people that don't like people talk. It is infinitely easier to talk than it is to act. It takes energy to move. You put yourself out there. You are vulnerable when you act upon something, effectively putting yourself out there, baring your soul for the world to see. Scary? I don't know. All depends on to what lengths you are willing to do to achieve your goal. Some start with a full head of steam, and then level off and eventually quit. While others just go about it with only a passing interest. Maybe because you don't really know if it is something you want to do, or maybe because you are scared of what people might think of you. Fitting in and being accepted seems to be a highly motivating trend these days. Many want to buy the 'in' stuff, so they don't feel left out, and go along with things even if they don't actually agree or like doing what they are doing, but they feel that the only way they can really feel safe and one of them is if they pretend to be someone they aren't.

Talking about dreaming and not acting upon it can only lead to regret. Pretending to be someone you aren't can only lead to guilt, and the deterioration of everything that makes you unique. It might feel good now, but someday you will look back, and feel emptiness, devoid of your sense of self. I really am sorry if it happens to you. You could have accomplished so much. You could have been so....you.
